Disruption at UK Power Networks

UK Power Networks disruption at Eves Corner

Electricity distribution company UK Power Networks is carrying out work near Eves Corner which it believes will help ensure more reliable power supplies in our area in future.

The company delivers power supplies for more than eight million homes and businesses across London, the South East and the East of England, and invests more than £600million in its electricity networks every year, regardless of who you pay your electricity bills to.

UK Power Networks has apologised for recent interruptions to some power supplies in the area, investigated the cause and started improvement works. It is currently installing 360 metres of new underground cables which will replace the existing infrastructure, and the work extends to cutting back trees from overhead power lines, plus replacing a large amount of equipment in the local electricity substation. All the work is due to be completed next month (October) and specialist engineers will continue to monitor the reliability of the electricity supplies in the area.

If you have any queries regarding these works, please do not hesitate to ring them on 0800 028 4587 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
