Coronavirus 2020, Book of Memories
Share your memories of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Danbury Parish Council and the Danbury Corona Volunteers Group are seeking to compile a book of memories from 2020. We feel this would be a useful reference document for the future, but more importantly could be a communal record helping us all to acknowledge both the trials of this year and the amazing acts of kindness shown during this difficult time.
In the village we have schools that stayed open and kept going, enabling our children to learn, shops that fed us and even supplied us with Loo roll! An amazing group of volunteers, befrienders etc and many many more organisations and individuals who went above and beyond.
We clapped for carers, watched the fly past and raised a glass on VE Day, many of us discovered new walks or a love for the garden, we baked and baked. We grieved separately but together, standing outside and showing our respect for valued friends and colleagues. We came together via a previously unknown “Zoom” facility and this is just the beginning...
Please send in your memories, whether they relate to being at school, being home schooled, sewing PPE or wearing masks, we want to capture memories from all ages and of all kinds. Please feel free to include any photographs or drawings that you would be happy to be published.
Please find included a couple templates that you could use, or you could send us a document of your own.
Thank you for your support
