Danbury Tennis Club
From its humble beginnings on the old Mayes Lane car park, with 2 hard courts, a garden shed for a clubhouse, Danbury Tennis Club has evolved into a friendly, thriving club with over 300 members. Nestling in the delightful National Trust area of Danbury and surrounded by a wonderfully open outlook, it’s an idyllic place to meet friends and enjoy both friendly and highly competitive games of tennis.
The club is owned and managed by a committee of its members assisted by a small team of professional staff. There are regular social events, which are enthusiastically supported by members both young and old, especially our Play and Stay evenings, the last Friday of each month from April to September. The whole family is welcome. There is ample free car parking facilities in Mayes Lane, behind the Leisure Centre, a stone’s throw from the courts.
There are 5 floodlit tennis courts (3 AstroTurf and 2 Clay). The club offers a full programme of social and competitive tennis for both juniors and adults along with access to high quality coaching facilities.
New members of all standards are always welcome.
