Danbury is a large village in rural Essex, with a population of around 6000. Despite its size, our village retains its rural character and community spirit. Danbury is surrounded by open countryside and woodland, much of which is protected by the Essex Wildlife Trust and the National Trust.

Chelmsford Borough Council is to hold an informal evening on Wednesday 13 October 2010 - details here. Borough (and Parish Council) elections take place in May 2011.

CHELMSFORD PARISH & TOWN COUNCILS CHARTER - Danbury signs up!
Cllr Berlyn signs the CharterAlong with other local councils in the Chelmsford Borough, Danbury Parish Council recently signed a Declaration of Commitment to this new Charter at a ceremony at the Civic Centre.

At its July meeting, the Parish Council co-opted Mrs Sarah-Jane Court as a member. We welcome Mrs Court to the Council.
