Chelmsford Community Transport

Information leaflets and application forms can be obtained from the Parish Office. 

Providing door-to-door transport by car or minibus for those who are unable to use public transport because of age, physical or mental disability or rural exclusion. We have a team of volunteers who drive their own cars, plus six mini-buses equipped with wheelchair lifts.

Membership is £12 per year for individuals and £15 per year for couples or 2 people living at the same address.

Once you are a member we can take you anywhere within Chelmsford and surrounding parishes for any reason Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am – 4.30pm

Bus passes can be used on all mini-bus travel.  A small fare contribution is applicable in our volunteer cars.

You must book your journey at least 2 days in advance.

Whenever possible, please be flexible in your timing as we need to schedule our vehicles efficiently to meet demand. You should expect to share a vehicle and it may divert to collect other passengers on the way to your destination.

We also run a very popular Weekend Excursion Club, travelling in a group to various places around Essex.  Fees apply.
